JKHCBA condemns use of pellets, bullets in Kulgam | KNO

Srinagar, May 29 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA), Srinagar Wednesday strongly condemned the use of bullets, pellets and tear gas shelling on civilian population, in forces action at Tazipora area of Mahmoodabad, Kulgam, due to which 60 persons got injured, with bullets and pellets out of whom seven with serious injuries. The statement issued to KNO termed the incident as ‘barbaric and a worst kind of human rights violation’, stating that notice should be taken by the world community. It also asked India to stop the innocent killing and injuring of Kashmiri people by use of pellets, it be also asked to settle the Kashmir problem in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the people, so that peace and tranquility is established in the subcontinent and the people are allowed to live a life with honour and dignity. The Bar Association also appealed the International Human Rights Organizations including UN Human Rights Council to get up from the deep slumber; they are in, for the last seventy years and save the people of Kashmir of the unabated Indian onslaught forthwith. It also condemned the attack made on the life of Saqib Amin Parray, Advocate, on Thursday evening, viz. 23rd of May, 2019, by the BJP goons, who had blocked the road at Jawahar Nagar and on his asking to give him way, he was attacked and brutally assaulted by the BJP people, causing severe kind of injuries on his body. The Bar Association demanded that the aforesaid gruesome incident, in respect of which police has also registered an FIR, should be investigated by the police promptly and those who are guilty should be put up for trial and punished according to law.(KNO)
